ABOUT ME

Hello,

I’m an ex-hooper, beatmaker, art director, and illustrator. As a visual communicator, I use my background to inform my decisions. I love running point and setting up my team. I also enjoy sampling culture and sequencing dope ideas for clients. My southern upbringing has taught me the value of people and how our collective experiences can create unique moments. In Alabama, touchdown scored by your favorite team or a plate of your favorite comfort food can trigger a cathartic experience. I aim to create these genuine moments with the clients that I collaborate with and their target audiences.

I have a strong background in illustration, print design, and design education. I really enjoy building up younger creatives and helping them find their voice. I also look to publish articles and produce work that challenges the definition of “good” and “modern” work. I’ve designed everything from club flyers to obituaries. This range has allowed me to see the humanity in visual communication that goes beyond theory.

Tools are important to me but, they’re not what distinguishes my work. I enjoy telling stories with chord progressions, camera movements, or print margins. I believe that any tool can be used to enrich a narrative and as a result, I’ve found myself learning many techniques and experimenting with different equipment. This is not about creating an advantage for myself but, fueling my curiosity. Life is short and I want to create as much as possible while I’m able.
