CONTEXT:
Hardy Creative Lab was approched to help Shake The Field, a community engagement organization, create unique content and design support for their website and social channels.
IDEA:
Hardy Creative Lab proposed creating unique multi-cultural content to bridge the gap. We deployed collage aesthetics and hip-hop to highlight the quilt-like nature of community organizing. This concept extended across the web, print, and social. From the music to the artists selected for the video series, we tried to show the wide range of minority communities and connect them socially.
INSIGHT:
Research showed that Alabama’s minority communities weren’t aware of the organizations, initiatives, or elections that occurred in their communities. People are more likely to engage with culture-based initiatives, like concerts, art walks, or online video content. This was the way to reach the overlooked population.
